1. Claim l’item

Note importante :

Anvil Terrapin Medic Standalone Ship Gameplay Guide

The Anvil Terrapin Medic is a compact armored medical rescue ship built for Star Citizen players who want a tough, small-footprint rescue platform with a higher-tier medical bed reference than basic ambulance ships like the C8R Pisces Rescue or Cutlass Red. Designed by Anvil Aerospace, the Terrapin Medic is not a cargo ship, gunship, or luxury medical transport. It is a hardened search-and-rescue vessel made for dangerous landings, battlefield pickup, bunker support, and small-team medical recovery.

Unlike the standard Terrapin, which is focused on reconnaissance and scanning, the Terrapin Medic trades that recon identity for medical support. It keeps the Terrapin’s rugged Anvil chassis and adds a Tier 2 MedBed reference, turning the ship into a compact trauma-support platform. RSI’s official Terrapin Medic technical material lists the ship with a Tier 2 medical bed, compact Anvil rescue identity, defensive systems, and basic self-defense weapons, though exact medical behavior, components, and balance should be treated as gameplay-reference information.

Build Your Anvil Medical Fleet with the Terrapin Medic

The Terrapin Medic is one of the more practical medical ships for players who want durability in a small package. If you are looking to acquire this Anvil rescue ship, you can explore our available options in the Star Citizen Ships and Vehicles Collection.

Terrapin Medic Key Specifications

Role Medical Rescue / Search and Rescue Built for emergency pickup, battlefield recovery, and small-team medical support.
Status Flight Ready / current gameplay reference RSI IAE 2955 material describes the Anvil Terrapin Medic as a robust search-and-rescue vessel, while balance and medical behavior may change.
Medical Bed Tier 2 MedBed reference Gives higher-tier medical support than basic Tier 3 ambulance ships, but exact bed behavior and regeneration rules may change as medical gameplay evolves.
Size Small / compact rescue ship Easier to deploy than larger medical ships like the Apollo or Galaxy.
Dimensions Compact Terrapin-size rescue ship reference Small enough for rapid response and bunker support while keeping the armored Terrapin identity.
Defensive Profile Armored compact rescue ship reference Built to survive dangerous rescue work better than fragile ambulance ships, but exact shields, armor behavior, and balance may change.
Weapons Basic self-defense weapon reference Enough for limited defensive pressure, but the Terrapin Medic should not be treated as a combat ship.
Core Gameplay Rescue, treatment, bunker support, battlefield pickup Best for players who want a tough medical support ship without using a large vessel.

Note: Star Citizen medical gameplay and ship specifications may change between patches. For product pages, exact medical-bed behavior, regeneration range, armor behavior, shield values, weapon loadouts, components, and flight performance should be treated as gameplay-reference information rather than permanent final values.

What Makes the Terrapin Medic Valuable?

The Terrapin Medic is valuable because it gives medical players something specific: higher-tier medical support inside a compact armored ship. That combination is what separates it from smaller ambulance ships and larger hospital-style vessels.

The C8R Pisces Rescue is easier to deploy and cheaper to use, but it offers a more basic ambulance role. The Cutlass Red is more flexible and has two beds, but it is larger and less focused on the same armored pickup identity. The Apollo offers much more medical capacity, but it is also a larger and more involved medical platform.

The Terrapin Medic sits between those choices. It is compact, tough, simple, and focused. It is the medical ship you choose when you want to land near danger, stabilize or recover a player, and leave without bringing a full medical crew.

Medical Rescue Gameplay Role

The Terrapin Medic’s main role is armored medical rescue. It is made for situations where a normal ambulance ship may feel too fragile, but a larger Apollo-style medical ship may be more than the mission needs.

In practical gameplay, the Terrapin Medic fits several roles:

Gameplay Use Why the Terrapin Medic Fits
Bunker missions Can stay nearby as a durable recovery point for FPS teams.
Ground combat support Compact size and armored identity make it useful near dangerous areas.
Rescue beacons Good fit for players who enjoy responding to injured pilots or FPS players.
Small-team medical support One Tier 2 bed reference is enough for focused rescue work.
High-risk pickup Better suited to dangerous landings than fragile medical shuttles.
Solo medical gameplay Easier to manage than larger medical ships.

The Terrapin Medic should not be described as a full hospital ship. Its value is fast, durable, focused rescue, not high-capacity treatment.

Tier 2 MedBed Utility

The Terrapin Medic’s most important feature is its Tier 2 MedBed reference. RSI’s Terrapin Medic Q&A compares it with the C8R Pisces and Cutlass Red, noting that the Terrapin Medic has a higher-rated Tier 2 bed compared with their Tier 3 beds, while also pointing out that the C8R fits into more places and the Cutlass Red has two beds and more firepower.

The Terrapin Medic is not the biggest medical ship, but its single Tier 2 bed reference gives it higher-tier treatment value than basic ambulance ships.

RSI’s medical gameplay guide also lists Tier 2 beds with a much larger regeneration range than Tier 3 beds, while Tier 1 remains the highest tier. For product pages, this should be framed as medical-system reference information because regeneration rules can change.

Armor and Survivability

The Terrapin Medic’s other clear selling point is durability. RSI IAE 2955 material describes the ship as using the same robust frame and armor as the original Terrapin, adding a Tier 2 MedBed to become a miniature frontline trauma center or search-and-rescue vessel.

The Terrapin Medic is built for rescue under pressure, not for fighting its way through a battlefield.

Terrapin Medic vs Standard Terrapin

Variant Best For Main Difference
Terrapin Reconnaissance, scanning, exploration support Focused on detection, survival, and information gathering.
Terrapin Medic Medical rescue, trauma support, battlefield pickup Replaces the recon focus with a Tier 2 MedBed reference and rescue role.

The original Terrapin Q&A describes the standard Terrapin as a military-hardened exploration and reconnaissance ship with its role firmly in data gathering. That helps make the Medic distinction clear: the Medic is not a scanner variant; it is a rescue conversion.

Combat and Defense Expectations

The Terrapin Medic can defend itself, but it should not be sold as a combat ship. Its official technical material lists a limited self-defense weapon setup, which is enough for basic defensive pressure but not enough to make it a gunship.

The Terrapin Medic has enough protection to survive dangerous rescue work, but its main role is medical recovery, not combat.

Players who want a medical ship that can carry more people or fight harder should compare it with the Cutlass Red or Apollo Medivac. Players who want a compact armored rescue ship should look at the Terrapin Medic.

Solo and Small-Team Gameplay

The Terrapin Medic is useful for solo medical players because it is compact and focused. One player can fly it, land it, use the medical bed, and support nearby teammates. It does not require the larger workflow of an Apollo, Galaxy, Carrack, or Endeavor.

A practical Terrapin Medic rescue usually works best as a quick pickup rather than a long on-site hospital stop. The pilot needs to choose a landing spot close enough for the injured player to reach, but not so exposed that the ship becomes the next target. Because there is only one Tier 2 bed reference, the crew should treat the ship as a focused trauma platform: recover the patient, stabilize or treat them, and leave before the area becomes unsafe. In bunker or ground-combat missions, a support player can help move the injured teammate to the ship while the pilot keeps the engines ready. In real use, the Terrapin Medic feels best when it is used for fast, armored rescue under pressure, not for staying parked in a fight.

A practical Terrapin Medic setup may include:

Crew Role Purpose
Pilot / Medic Flies the ship, lands near the objective, and handles patient recovery.
Support Passenger Helps move injured players, watch the area, and manage equipment.
Escort Friend Optional, but useful when operating in hostile zones.

The Terrapin Medic is best for players who want a medical ship they can use often, not only during large organization events.

Cargo and Utility Expectations

The Terrapin Medic should not be sold as a cargo ship. Its value is medical support and survivability. Any storage should be treated as practical mission support rather than freight capacity.

The Terrapin Medic is for medical supplies, rescue gear, and emergency support, not cargo profit.

This keeps customer expectations clear and avoids comparing it unfairly with ships like the Cutlass Red, C1 Spirit, Taurus, or Starlancer MAX.

If you prefer to build toward the Anvil Terrapin Medic from an existing ship, you can view our Star Citizen Terrapin Medic CCU Upgrades and plan a more flexible medical or rescue fleet upgrade path over time.

Terrapin Medic vs Other Star Citizen Medical Ships

Ship Fleet Option Primary Core Role Compared with Terrapin Medic
C8R Pisces Rescue Small Medical Shuttle The C8R is smaller, easier to land, and cheaper. The Terrapin Medic is tougher and has a higher-tier medical bed reference.
Cutlass Red Medical Rescue / Utility The Cutlass Red has two beds and more utility. The Terrapin Medic is more armored and more compact.
Apollo Triage Dedicated Medical Rescue The Apollo Triage offers much more medical flexibility and capacity. The Terrapin Medic is smaller and easier to deploy.
Apollo Medivac Combat Search and Rescue The Medivac is better for larger medical operations in dangerous areas. The Terrapin Medic is simpler and more compact.
Carrack Exploration Medical Support The Carrack has medical support as part of a much larger exploration platform. The Terrapin Medic is medical-first and easier to use.
Galaxy Med Bay Module Large Modular Medical Support The Galaxy offers larger modular medical potential. The Terrapin Medic is a small rescue ship, not a hospital platform.
Terrapin Recon / Scanning The standard Terrapin is for information gathering. The Terrapin Medic is for rescue and treatment.

Terrapin Medic vs C8R Pisces Rescue

The C8R Pisces Rescue is better for players who want the smallest, cheapest, and easiest ambulance-style rescue ship. The Terrapin Medic is better for players who want a tougher compact medical ship with a higher-tier bed reference and better survivability near danger. Choose the C8R for quick basic rescue. Choose the Terrapin Medic for armored pickup and higher-risk recovery work.

Terrapin Medic vs Cutlass Red

The Cutlass Red is better for players who want more general utility, two medical beds, and a larger everyday rescue ship. The Terrapin Medic is better for players who want a compact armored rescue platform with a Tier 2 MedBed reference. Choose the Cutlass Red for broader utility. Choose the Terrapin Medic for focused armored medical recovery.

Terrapin Medic vs Apollo Triage

The Apollo Triage is better for players who want larger medical capacity, modular medical bays, and organized medical operations. The Terrapin Medic is better for players who want a smaller rescue ship that can deploy quickly and survive riskier pickup situations. Choose the Apollo Triage for dedicated medical support. Choose the Terrapin Medic for compact armored rescue.

Terrapin Medic Strengths and Limitations

Strategic Strengths Operational Limitations
Tier 2 MedBed reference gives higher-tier medical utility than basic Tier 3 ambulance ships. Only one medical bed, so patient capacity is limited.
Compact armored Terrapin chassis is useful for dangerous rescue work. Not as small or easy to fit everywhere as the C8R Pisces Rescue.
Armored rescue identity gives it useful defensive confidence for its size. Very limited offensive firepower.
Good solo or small-team medical ship. Not a full medical platform like Apollo or Galaxy.
Clear rescue identity makes it easy to understand and sell. Not useful for cargo profit or broad utility gameplay.
Useful choice for bunker support, rescue beacons, and FPS recovery. Full value depends on medical gameplay being relevant to the mission.

Who Should Buy the Terrapin Medic?

The Terrapin Medic is best for players who want a compact, durable medical rescue ship. It is especially suitable for solo medics, bunker teams, FPS groups, rescue-beacon players, small organizations, and anyone who wants a tougher alternative to the C8R Pisces Rescue.

It is also a good choice for players who like the Terrapin chassis but want a more practical support role than reconnaissance. The Medic version keeps the hardened Anvil feeling and gives it a more immediate gameplay purpose.

Players who want the smallest ambulance should choose the C8R. Players who want more beds and utility should look at the Cutlass Red. Players who want larger modular medical capacity should choose the Apollo Triage or Apollo Medivac. But for players who want a small armored medical ship with a Tier 2 bed reference, the Terrapin Medic is one of the more practical choices in Star Citizen.
