Comment apply un CCU (Ship Upgrade)

Si vous avez acheté un Cross Chassis Upgrade (CCU) pour upgrade un Ship vers un autre, voici les étapes à suivre :

1. Claim l’item
Suivez les étapes de livraison ci-dessus pour ajouter le CCU à votre RSI Hangar.

2. Trouver le CCU dans le Hangar

Note importante :

Kruger P-52 Merlin Standalone Ship Gameplay Guide

The Kruger P-52 Merlin is a Flight Ready one-seat snub fighter built for Star Citizen players who want a small craft for local combat, short-range scouting, racing-style flying, and Constellation companion gameplay. It is not a cargo ship, starter ship, long-range fighter, daily driver, quantum travel ship, or standalone adventure vessel. The Merlin is best understood as a parent-ship dependent snub fighter: a small craft designed to be carried by a larger ship, launched near the action, and recovered when the job is done.

Official RSI material describes the Merlin as a dedicated parasite fighter originally designed to pair with the RSI Constellation, with a centerline Gatling cannon, a Lightning Power engine, and use cases such as racing, local reconnaissance, and fast combat. Current reference data lists the P-52 Merlin as Flight Ready, 1 crew, 0 SCU, 12m length, 7.7m width, 2m height, and 0 quantum fuel, which is the key limitation buyers must understand.

The safest product-page positioning is simple:
The P-52 Merlin is a tiny combat snub for local action and Constellation support — not a ship you buy for independent travel, cargo work, or everyday solo gameplay.

Build Your Kruger Snub Fighter Fleet with the P-52 Merlin

The P-52 Merlin is a good choice for players who like small ships, Constellation companion craft, racing-style flying, and compact fighter gameplay. If you are looking to acquire this Kruger snub fighter, you can explore our available options in the Star Citizen Ships and Vehicles Collection.

Note: Star Citizen snub docking, weapon balance, refuel/rearm behavior, ship claiming, flight model values, and Constellation integration can change between patches. Treat exact live values as current gameplay-reference information rather than permanent final numbers.

What Makes the P-52 Merlin Valuable?

The P-52 Merlin is useful because it gives larger ships a small, fast craft that can launch for local action. It is not useful because it replaces a true fighter. It is not useful because it can travel across the system by itself. Its value comes from being small, quick, easy to understand, and tied to the Constellation experience.

RSI’s Galactapedia says the Merlin was developed by Kruger Intergalactic after RSI commissioned the original design for use aboard Constellation models, and it also notes that Merlins require a mothership or static facility because they lack a quantum drive system.

The P-52 Merlin is not your main ship. It is the small fighter you launch when your main ship needs eyes, speed, or a quick response nearby.

That is the core buyer message.

Snub Fighter Gameplay Role

The Merlin’s main role is short-range support. It is built to operate near something bigger: a Constellation, a carrier, a base, a station, or a friendly operation area.

In practical gameplay, the P-52 Merlin fits several roles:

Gameplay Use Why the Merlin Fits
Constellation support Designed from the start as a companion craft for the Constellation line.
Local reconnaissance RSI directly describes it as useful for local reconnaissance.
Fast combat response Small, quick, and armed for short-range fights.
Point-defense flavor Good fantasy fit for protecting a larger parent ship from nearby threats.
Racing-style flying RSI describes it as useful for racing as well as fast combat.
Snub ownership Low-size, low-commitment ship for players who enjoy tiny craft.

The P-52 Merlin should be described as a snub fighter, not a full fighter replacement.

No Quantum Drive: The Most Important Buyer Point

The biggest limitation is simple: the Merlin is not an independent travel ship. RSI Galactapedia states that Merlins require a mothership or static facility because they lack a quantum drive system, and current reference data shows 0 quantum fuel.

The Merlin can fight locally, but it cannot replace a normal ship for getting around the system.

This matters more than its weapons or speed. A buyer who wants a starter ship should not buy the Merlin as their only useful ship. A buyer who already owns a Constellation or wants a snub fighter will understand the value much better.

Weapons and Combat Identity

The Merlin’s combat identity is built around its central gun. Official RSI material describes the ship with a centerline Gatling cannon, while current reference data identifies the customized Tigerstrike T-19P rotary cannon as the Merlin’s key integrated weapon, supported by two Size 1 wing hardpoints.

Weapon Layer Gameplay Meaning
Centerline Gatling cannon Signature Merlin weapon and main combat flavor.
Two small wing hardpoints Adds supporting firepower around the main cannon.
Single-seat control The pilot controls the entire ship.
No cargo tradeoff The hull is fully combat-focused.
The Merlin is small, but it is not helpless. Its weapon package is built for fast local engagements, not long battles far from support.

Docking, Refuel, and Rearm Expectations

The Merlin’s best use is with a parent ship. RSI’s Q&A says that when docked with a Constellation, the Merlin can be refueled and can have its ballistic ammo reloaded, provided the parent ship has spare rounds in its cargo hold.

The Merlin makes the most sense when the parent ship is part of the plan.

That means the player should think of fuel, ammo, recovery, and launch timing as part of Merlin gameplay. It is not just a tiny fighter floating alone.

Constellation Included Craft

The P-52 Merlin is especially important for Constellation buyers. RSI’s support page lists the Constellation Andromeda with a P-52 Merlin included, and the Constellation Aquila with a P-52 Merlin plus Ursa Rover. The same support article explains that included vessels depend on the parent ship and are not reclaimed or upgraded independently from the parent in the same way as standalone ships.

For many players, the Merlin is part of the full Constellation experience, not a separate daily driver.

This is especially useful when writing product pages for Andromeda or Aquila bundles.

Solo Gameplay Expectations

The Merlin is a solo ship, but not a solo career ship. It only needs one pilot, but that does not mean it works well as a player’s only ship. Current reference data lists it with 1 crew, 0 SCU, and 0 quantum fuel, which means it is extremely limited outside local operations.

The Merlin is solo-controlled, but parent-ship dependent.

A practical P-52 Merlin session should feel like launching a small craft from a larger plan, not starting a full journey by itself. The pilot undocks near the action, checks a nearby area, chases a small threat, practices tight flying, or helps the parent ship for a short window. Once the fight moves too far away or the Merlin needs fuel, ammo, or travel range, the parent ship or local base becomes important again. In real use, the Merlin rewards players who enjoy fast local flying and Constellation snub flavor, not players looking for a first ship, cargo ship, or independent fighter career.

Cargo and Utility Expectations

The P-52 Merlin has 0 SCU and should not be sold as a utility ship. It has no cargo role, no living space, no bed, no vehicle function, no medical role, no mining, no salvage, and no hauling value.

Buy the Merlin for snub-fighter flying, not cargo or practical daily utility.

For daily gameplay, buyers should compare an Avenger Titan, C8 Pisces, Buccaneer, or other real starter / utility ship.

Direct Vehicle Comparisons

The P-72 Archimedes options represent the premium, speed-tailored counterparts inside Kruger's snub-fighter lineage.

Ship Best For Main Difference
P-52 Merlin Snub fighting, local combat, Constellation companion use Original combat-flavored Kruger snub. Strong central cannon identity.
P-72 Archimedes Racing, luxury snub flying, Phoenix companion identity Speedy, luxury alternative built to pair with premium hulls.
P-72 Archimedes Emerald Collector / luxury snub ownership Special-edition visual scheme with rare green collector appeal.
Choose the P-52 Merlin if you want the original combat snub. Choose the P-72 Archimedes if you want the faster, luxury-flavored Kruger snub. Choose the Archimedes Emerald if the collector finish matters more.

P-52 Merlin vs C8 Pisces

The C8 Pisces is a small shuttle-style craft. The Merlin is a true snub fighter.

Ship Best For Main Difference
P-52 Merlin Local fighting and Constellation snub use Smaller and more fighter-focused, but no quantum travel role. Fully parasite dependent.
C8 Pisces Small shuttle utility and more everyday practicality Independent travel value with standard quantum drive metrics and cargo access.
Choose the Pisces if you want a useful small ship with quantum travel capability. Choose the Merlin if you want a tiny, agile fighter.

P-52 Merlin vs Constellation Andromeda, Aquila & Phoenix

Ship Best For Main Difference
P-52 Merlin Local launch, snub combat, fast scouting Small parasite craft carried directly by selected Constellation series motherships.
Constellation Andromeda Multi-crew combat, missiles, cargo, travel Combat-first variant which maps the P-52 Merlin straight into its standard hull package.
Constellation Aquila Exploration and planetary mapping Exploration variant which includes the P-52 Merlin and an Ursa Rover as default support craft.
Constellation Phoenix Luxury touring and premium VIP escort Luxury variant featuring the Phoenix Emerald options; pairs with the P-72 Archimedes, not the P-52.
The Andromeda and Aquila handle the heavy travel and combat operations, while the Merlin handles fast local support response near them. Choose the Phoenix package if you want luxury Connie ownership with the P-72 platform instead.

P-52 Merlin vs Arrow, Gladius, Mirai Fury, MPUV & Dragonfly

Ship Best For Main Difference
P-52 Merlin Snub-fighter flying and Connie support Agile parasite fighter; lacks quantum mobility and independent basing structures.
Anvil Arrow Independent light-fighter combat True independent fighter with a standard quantum assembly. More direct combat utility.
Aegis Gladius Proper solo fighter gameplay Full medium-spectrum light fighter; has an independent cruising structure and better armaments.
Mirai Fury Modern compact snub-fighter loops Newer tiny fighter platform featuring transformational thrust structures. No built-in Connie lock.
ARGO MPUV Local short-range utility logistics Pure utility, personnel, or cargo transport depending on chosen pod layout; no default armaments.
Drake Dragonfly Open-air space bike movement flavor Grav-lev bike platform; un-enclosed hull meant for simple atmospheric or local surface scouting.
Choose the Arrow or Gladius if you want a real independent light fighter. Choose the Mirai Fury if you want a newer tiny snub fighter style. Choose the ARGO MPUV for utility loops. Choose the Drake Dragonfly if you want an open-canopy bike. Choose the Merlin if you want a classic enclosed Connie snub fighter.

Cargo, Combat, and Practical Expectations

The Merlin is specialized. It should not be sold as a universal ship.

If the buyer wants:

  • Constellation companion gameplay, the Merlin makes sense.
  • small snub-fighter flying, the Merlin makes sense.
  • cargo, choose something else.
  • quantum travel, choose a real ship.
  • starter gameplay, choose a starter ship.
  • proper light-fighter combat, compare Arrow or Gladius.
  • luxury snub racing, compare P-72 Archimedes.
The P-52 Merlin is valuable because it is a focused snub fighter, not because it replaces a normal ship.

Explore P-52 Merlin Upgrade Paths

If you prefer to build toward the P-52 Merlin from another ship, you can view our Star Citizen P-52 Merlin CCU Upgrades and plan a more flexible Kruger, snub-fighter, or Constellation companion upgrade path over time.

For the P-52 Merlin specifically, buyers should check whether the item is standalone, included with a parent ship, part of a package, upgraded, referral-related, or time-limited. Current reference data lists standalone sale access as time-limited, while RSI support also lists the P-52 as included with certain Constellation variants.

P-52 Merlin vs Other Star Citizen Small Ships

Ship Fleet Option Primary Core Role Compared with P-52 Merlin
P-52 Merlin Snub Fighter Original Kruger combat snub and Constellation companion craft.
P-72 Archimedes Luxury / Racing Snub Faster, more luxury-flavored P-52 alternative.
P-72 Archimedes Emerald Collector Racing Snub More special-edition and collector-focused layout.
C8 Pisces Small Shuttle / Utility More practical as an independent small ship; Merlin is more parasite fighter-focused.
Constellation Andromeda Multi-Crew Combat / Cargo Parent combat Connie ship that includes the P-52 Merlin by default.
Constellation Aquila Exploration Connie Parent exploration Connie ship; includes P-52 Merlin and Ursa Rover.
Arrow Light Fighter Better independent fighter setup; Merlin acts as a local parasite snub.
Gladius Light Fighter Better main combat ship; Merlin is significantly smaller and parent-dependent.
Mirai Fury Tiny Fighter Newer snub-style fighter; Merlin is classic Connie companion.
ARGO MPUV Utility Craft Utility-focused industrial runabout; Merlin is combat-focused.

P-52 Merlin vs P-72 Archimedes

The P-52 Merlin is better for players who want the original combat snub tied to Constellation support. The P-72 Archimedes is better for players who want a faster, luxury-flavored Kruger snub with more racing identity. Choose the Merlin for combat snub flavor. Choose the Archimedes for speed and luxury snub style.

P-52 Merlin vs C8 Pisces

The C8 Pisces is better for players who want a practical small shuttle with more everyday utility and independent travel value. The P-52 Merlin is better for players who want a tiny snub fighter for local combat and Constellation companion use. Choose the Pisces for small-ship utility. Choose the Merlin for snub-fighter flying.

P-52 Merlin vs Arrow

The Arrow is better for players who want a real independent light fighter. The P-52 Merlin is better for players who want a tiny local fighter that works best near a parent ship or friendly base. Choose the Arrow for main fighter gameplay. Choose the Merlin for snub fighter support.

P-52 Merlin vs Gladius

The Gladius is better for players who want a proper solo light fighter with normal travel and combat use. The P-52 Merlin is better for players who want a compact Constellation snub, local-response craft, or small collector ship. Choose the Gladius for serious fighter gameplay. Choose the Merlin for local snub use.

P-52 Merlin Strengths and Limitations

Strategic Strengths Operational Limitations
Clear Kruger / Constellation snub identity. No quantum drive role; needs parent ship or local base.
Flight Ready and usable now. Very limited as a standalone-only ship.
Small, fast, and easy to enjoy locally. Not a full fighter replacement.
Centerline Gatling cannon gives clear character. Tiny ship durability and weapon scale are limited.
1-seat simplicity. No crew gameplay, cargo, bed, or utility space.
0 SCU keeps the role clear. Cannot haul, trade, deliver cargo, or support missions beyond local combat.
Included with selected Constellation variants. Included craft can depend on parent ship ownership and package contents.
Useful collector / package value. Not the right choice for new players needing a practical first ship.

Who Should Buy the P-52 Merlin?

The P-52 Merlin is best for players who want a tiny snub fighter, a Constellation companion craft, or a fun local-combat ship. It is especially suitable for Constellation owners, Kruger collectors, players who enjoy small ships, pilots who like racing-style handling, and buyers who want a low-cost combat craft with clear personality.

It is also a good fleet piece for players who already own practical ships. The Merlin works best when another ship handles travel, cargo, fuel, and logistics. The parent ship brings the Merlin to the area; the Merlin launches when speed, scouting, or local defense matters.

The welfare layout maps best when everything aligns: a new player should choose a real starter or utility ship instead. Players who want independent combat should compare Arrow or Gladius. Players who want cargo should choose a hauler. Players who want a luxury snub should compare the P-72 Archimedes. But for buyers who want the original Kruger Constellation snub fighter, the P-52 Merlin is the more direct choice.

P-52 Merlin FAQ

Is the P-52 Merlin worth buying in Star Citizen?

Yes, if you want a tiny snub fighter for local combat, racing-style flying, Constellation companion use, or collection value. It is not ideal if you need cargo, quantum travel, daily utility, or a true starter ship.

Is the P-52 Merlin a good starter ship?

No. It is not a good first ship because it lacks quantum travel and cargo utility. A new player should choose a real starter or utility ship instead.

Is the P-52 Merlin time-limited?

Current reference data lists standalone P-52 Merlin availability as time-limited sales. Buyers should check the exact listing format before purchase.

Does the P-52 Merlin have good long-term value?
