1. Claim l’item

Note importante :

Anvil F7A Hornet Mk II Standalone Ship Gameplay Guide

The Anvil F7A Hornet Mk II is a Flight Ready single-seat military medium fighter built for Star Citizen players who want the modern UEE Navy Hornet platform, capable pilot-controlled firepower, and a more combat-focused identity than the civilian F7C Mk II. It is not a cargo ship, stealth variant, radar variant, two-seat Super Hornet, or luxury fighter. The F7A Mk II is best understood as the military Hornet Mk II: compact, direct, heavily armed, and made for players who want a pure Anvil combat ship.

RSI’s official pledge page describes the F7A Hornet Mk II as the UEE Navy’s premier carrier-based fighter craft and a front-line attack ship for military combat missions. Current reference data tracks the F7A Hornet Mk II as Flight Ready, with 1 crew, 2 SCU cargo, 22.5m length, 21.75m width, 6m height, and Flight Ready history from Alpha 3.23.0.

The safest product-page positioning is simple:
The F7A Hornet Mk II is the Hornet you choose when you want military-grade single-seat combat, not civilian flexibility, two-seat teamwork, stealth, radar support, or cargo utility.

Build Your Anvil Military Fighter Fleet with the F7A Hornet Mk II

The F7A Hornet Mk II is one of the more direct choices for players who want the modern military Hornet experience. If you are looking to acquire this Anvil medium fighter, you can explore our available options in the Star Citizen Ships and Vehicles Collection.

Note: Star Citizen fighter balance, hardpoints, default loadouts, missile behavior, armor, shields, and availability can change between patches. Treat exact live values as current gameplay-reference information rather than permanent final values.

What Makes the F7A Hornet Mk II Valuable?

The F7A Hornet Mk II is valuable because it gives players the modern military version of the Hornet Mk II frame. The F7C Mk II is the civilian version. The Ghost Mk II is the stealth version. The Tracker Mk II is the radar / pursuit version. The Super Hornet Mk II is the two-seat version. The F7A Mk II is the military single-seat combat version.

Current reference material describes the F7A Hornet Mk II as the UEE Navy’s current baseline space superiority fighter, introduced in 2944, and used in roles including combat air patrol, interception, ground attack, reconnaissance in force, escort, and strike operations.

The F7A Hornet Mk II is not the most flexible Hornet. It is the combat-first military Hornet for pilots who want the most direct single-seat Mk II fighter identity.

That is the core buyer message. The F7A Mk II is not for every player, but for the right buyer, it is one of Star Citizen’s more experience-driven ships.

Military Medium Fighter Gameplay Role

The F7A Hornet Mk II’s main role is direct fighter combat. It is built for players who want to take a compact military ship into combat without relying on a gunner, turret operator, or support crew.

In practical gameplay, the F7A Mk II fits several roles:

Gameplay Use Why the F7A Mk II Fits
Solo fighter combat One pilot controls the ship’s main firepower.
PvE bounty missions Capable gun package and compact frame work well for combat missions.
Escort duty Military Hornet identity fits convoy, fleet, and security work.
Interception Compact medium-fighter profile and capable weapons make it a natural chase / pressure ship.
PvP fighter use Useful for pilots who prefer direct combat over multi-crew coordination.
Anvil / Hornet collection One of the more direct military Hornet ownership pieces in the Mk II family.

The F7A Mk II should be described as a single-seat military medium fighter, not a cargo or utility ship.

Firepower and Weapon Layout

The F7A Hornet Mk II has a capable military weapon package. Current reference data lists 2× Size 4 wing guns, a Size 5 Hornet Mk II ball turret carrying 2× Size 3 guns, a Size 3 nose turret carrying 2× Size 3 guns, and 2× Size 4 missile racks carrying 8× Size 2 missiles.

That gives the ship a simple combat identity:

Weapon Layer Gameplay Meaning
2× S4 wing guns Main heavy forward pressure.
2× S3 top guns Adds central Hornet firepower.
2× S3 nose guns Gives dense front-facing gun coverage.
8× S2 missiles Useful for opening pressure, pursuit, and forcing reactions.
The F7A Hornet Mk II is a gun-first military fighter with missile support, not a missile boat or torpedo platform.

Single-Seat Combat Identity

The F7A Mk II is especially attractive because it is a capable single-seat ship. There is no second seat to fill, no turret gunner to coordinate with, and no support role that must be active before the ship feels complete.

This makes it very different from the Super Hornet Mk II, Scorpius, Hurricane, and many Vanguard variants.

The F7A Hornet Mk II is easy to recommend to solo fighter pilots because its value is in the pilot’s hands.

A practical F7A Hornet Mk II fight should feel like a compact military fighter where the pilot is responsible for everything: approach, aim, missile timing, shield management, disengage decisions, and target pressure. The ship does not need a gunner to feel complete, which makes it attractive for solo fighter pilots who want the Hornet Mk II military package under their own control. At the same time, it is still a dedicated combat ship with almost no utility outside fighting. In real use, the F7A Mk II rewards pilots who enjoy direct medium-fighter combat, good positioning, and weapon discipline more than players looking for cargo, stealth, scanning, or relaxed daily travel.

F7A Mk II Availability and Overdrive History

The F7A Hornet Mk II has unusual player-access history. RSI’s Overdrive Initiative reward explained that players who completed missions 1 to 5 would receive a complimentary upgrade from the F7C Mk II Hornet to the F7A Mk II with the release of Alpha 3.23. Current reference data lists the F7A Mk II as limited edition, with normal buy and rent availability marked as “No.”

The F7A Hornet Mk II should be treated as a limited military Hornet with special ownership history, so buyers should always check the exact listing, upgrade token, insurance, and delivery details carefully.

This is important for store clarity. Do not present it as a normal always-available Hornet.

Choose the Gladius for light-fighter agility. Choose the F7A Hornet Mk II for military Hornet firepower.

Cargo and Utility Expectations

The F7A Hornet Mk II has a tiny 2 SCU current cargo reference, but it should not be sold as a cargo or utility ship. It is a combat fighter first.

The F7A Hornet Mk II is a fighter only. It is not for cargo trading, box delivery, vehicle transport, mining, salvage, medical support, or exploration utility.

The small storage value is useful only as minor convenience, not a gameplay loop.

Combat Balance Expectations

The F7A Mk II has a capable current weapon profile, but product pages should avoid promising that it will always be the best fighter. Medium-fighter balance can change with weapon tuning, armor behavior, shields, flight model changes, missiles, and patch updates.

The F7A Hornet Mk II has clear military fighter appeal, but its live combat value depends on current patch balance, loadout choices, and pilot skill.

This keeps the page trustworthy and reduces “meta ship” overclaiming.

Explore F7A Hornet Mk II Upgrade Paths

If you prefer to build toward the F7A Hornet Mk II from another ship, you can view our Star Citizen CCU Upgrades and plan a more flexible Anvil fighter or Hornet Mk II upgrade path over time.

For this ship specifically, buyers should check whether the listing is a complete ship, an upgrade, an account-bound event reward, or another package format, because the F7A Mk II has special Overdrive / limited-availability context rather than normal always-available civilian store status.

Who Should Buy the F7A Hornet Mk II?

The F7A Hornet Mk II is best for players who want a modern single-seat military Hornet. It is especially suitable for Anvil fans, Hornet collectors, solo fighter pilots, PvE bounty players, PvP combat pilots, UEE Navy roleplay players, and buyers who want a more combat-focused identity than the civilian F7C Mk II.

Players who want the civilian baseline should compare the F7C Mk II. Players who want a two-seat Hornet should compare the Super Hornet Mk II. Players who want stealth should compare the Ghost. Players who want radar should compare the Tracker. Players who want a larger elite fighter should compare the F8C. Its main limitation is clear: it is combat-only and has limited / unusual availability, so buyers should confirm the exact item format before purchase.
