Was bedeutet unser 6-monatiger After-Sale-Schutz?

Anvil Valkyrie Liberator Edition Standalone Ship Gameplay Guide

The Anvil Valkyrie Liberator Edition is a limited-edition version of the Anvil Valkyrie heavy dropship, built for Star Citizen players who want troop deployment, vehicle support, landing-zone firepower, and a rare CitizenCon 2948 commemorative look. It is not a cargo-first hauler, medical ship, solo daily driver, stealth dropship, or the separate Anvil Liberator carrier. The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is best understood as a collector-focused Valkyrie dropship: the same heavy troop-transport identity, but with a limited Liberator trim package.

Official RSI launch material presents the Valkyrie as a heavy dropship designed to transport up to 20 personnel, support vehicle deployment through a vehicle bay and speed ramp, use VTOL thrusters for precise landings, and provide fire support during troop insertion. The same launch page introduced the Valkyrie 2948 Liberator Edition as a limited commemorative livery for CitizenCon 2948.

The safest product-page positioning is simple:
The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is the collectible CitizenCon 2948 version of Anvil’s heavy dropship — not a separate combat upgrade, not a cargo ship, and not the Anvil Liberator carrier.

Build Your Anvil Dropship Fleet with the Valkyrie Liberator Edition

The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is a good choice for players who like Anvil military design, squad insertion, vehicle-supported ground operations, and limited-edition ship identity. If you are looking to acquire this rare Anvil dropship, you can explore our available options in the Star Citizen Ships and Vehicles Collection.

Valkyrie Liberator Edition Key Specifications

Specification Anvil Valkyrie Liberator Edition Gameplay Meaning
Manufacturer Anvil Aerospace Military-style human manufacturer with a strong dropship and combat-support identity.
Role Heavy Dropship / Troop and Vehicle Transport Built to deliver armed players and ground support into combat zones, not to make cargo profit.
Edition Type CitizenCon 2948 Liberator Edition Limited commemorative trim package connected to the Valkyrie’s debut.
Status Flight Ready Current community reference tracks the Valkyrie Liberator as Flight Ready.
Crew 1–5 Can be flown with fewer players, but its turrets, troop capacity, vehicle bay, and support roles make more sense with a crew.
Troop Capacity 20 dedicated jump seats Main reason to buy the ship for organized FPS, bunker, boarding, and ground-combat gameplay.
Cargo Capacity 90 SCU Useful for supplies, event gear, and luxury travel support, but not enough to make the Valkyrie a dedicated cargo hauler.
Vehicle Support Vehicle bay / ground-vehicle deployment role Useful for deploying ground transport or reconnaissance vehicles, but still part of a dropship role rather than cargo-hauling gameplay.
Weapons Pilot weapons, manned turrets, remote turrets, and side-door guns Gives landing-zone fire support, but the Valkyrie should not be sold as a dedicated gunship.
Current Dimensions 48m length / 38m width / 12m height Large dropship footprint; not a small daily-use ship.
Core Gameplay Troop insertion, extraction, vehicle deployment, FPS support, org dropship operations Best for players who actually use squad and ground-combat gameplay.

Note: Star Citizen ship specifications, weapon loadouts, armor, shields, cargo behavior, vehicle fit, dropship gameplay, and live balance can change between patches. Treat exact values as current gameplay-reference information rather than permanent final values.

What Makes the Valkyrie Liberator Edition Valuable?

The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is valueable because it combines two different kinds of appeal: the Anvil Valkyrie’s heavy dropship gameplay and the limited CitizenCon 2948 Liberator identity.

The standard Valkyrie is already a strong squad-transport ship. It carries troops, supports ground vehicles, has a rear ramp, side doors, turret coverage, and a layout built around getting people into a fight. The Liberator Edition adds collector value through its exclusive commemorative trim package. RSI later clarified that some older skins, including the Valkyrie Liberator from CitizenCon 2948, were intended as limited and exclusive skins rather than broadly re-released paints.

A clean product-page sentence would be:
The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is not better because it turns the Valkyrie into a different ship. It is better for collectors because it is the limited CitizenCon version of a serious Anvil dropship.

That distinction matters. Buyers should understand that they are buying a rare Valkyrie edition, not a separate Anvil Liberator carrier and not a guaranteed performance upgrade over the standard Valkyrie.

Heavy Dropship Gameplay Role

The Valkyrie Liberator Edition’s main role is troop deployment. It is designed for players who want to bring an armed squad, a vehicle, and supporting fire into a contested area.

In practical gameplay, the Valkyrie Liberator Edition fits several roles:

Gameplay Use Why the Valkyrie Liberator Edition Fits
Squad insertion Dedicated jump seats and gun racks make it suitable for moving armed players into FPS objectives.
Bunker and outpost missions The ship can move a group, provide fire support, and act as a staging platform.
Vehicle-supported assaults The vehicle bay and speed ramp support ground transport or reconnaissance deployment.
Organization operations Works well when multiple players have roles as pilot, crew, gunners, passengers, and ground team.
Landing-zone fire support Turrets and side-door weapons help cover the drop, but do not make it a true gunship.
Anvil collector ownership Liberator trim gives the ship extra limited-edition appeal.

The Valkyrie Liberator Edition should be described as a limited-edition heavy dropship, not a general cargo ship or everyday solo utility ship.

Liberator Edition Identity

The most important difference between the Valkyrie Liberator Edition and the standard Valkyrie is not the mission role. It is the edition identity.

RSI introduced the Valkyrie 2948 Liberator Edition as a limited trim package commemorating the ship’s CitizenCon 2948 debut. Later RSI paint-system communication specifically mentioned the Valkyrie Liberator as one of the older skins intended to remain limited and exclusive.

The Liberator Edition is best sold as a collectible Valkyrie variant with exclusive CitizenCon history, not as a mechanically different dropship.

This is especially important for customers who may confuse:

  • Valkyrie Liberator Edition — limited Valkyrie edition / livery.
  • Standard Valkyrie — normal heavy dropship.
  • Anvil Liberator — a separate carrier / vehicle-transport ship.
  • Cutlass Steel — a smaller Drake troop transport.
  • Vanguard Hoplite — a compact Aegis strike-team dropship.

Troop Deployment and 20 Jump Seats

The Valkyrie’s core value comes from troop movement. RSI’s launch material describes the Valkyrie as designed to transport up to 20 personnel into and out of combat zones. Current community reference also describes the Valkyrie Liberator with dedicated jump seats and gun racks for transporting fully equipped soldiers.

A practical Valkyrie mission should feel like this:

  • Load the squad and equipment.
  • Approach the target area.
  • Use VTOL and controlled positioning to reach the landing zone.
  • Deploy ground troops and vehicle support.
  • Use turrets and side weapons to cover the squad.
  • Extract the team after the objective.
A clean customer-facing sentence:
The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is at its best when the passengers matter. Without a squad to move, much of the ship’s purpose is unused.

Solo pilots can still fly it, but the Valkyrie is not designed around solo efficiency.

Vehicle Bay and Ground Support

The Valkyrie is not just a troop bus. RSI’s launch material highlights a vehicle bay and speed ramp for launching ground-based transports or reconnaissance vehicles. This gives the Valkyrie a different identity from ships that only carry seated passengers. It can support ground operations with both people and vehicle movement.

A safe product-page sentence:
The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is useful when the mission needs soldiers and ground support, not just a pilot and cargo boxes.

However, the vehicle bay should not be oversold. Vehicle fit, loading behavior, physics, and cargo-grid details can change by patch, so product pages should avoid promising every vehicle or every loading setup.

90 SCU Cargo Capacity

Current community reference lists the Valkyrie Liberator with 90 SCU of cargo. This gives the ship useful support storage, but it does not make the Valkyrie a dedicated hauler.

A clean product-page sentence:
The Valkyrie can carry supplies, but cargo is support value, not the reason to buy it.

Players who want profit-focused cargo should compare the C2 Hercules, Taurus, Starlancer MAX, Caterpillar, Railen, or Hull-series ships instead.

Fire Support and Defensive Role

The Valkyrie has a lot of weapon coverage for a dropship. Current community reference describes two manned turrets, remote turrets, side-door weapons, and pilot-controlled guns for the Valkyrie / Valkyrie Liberator profile. This matters during landing and extraction. The ship’s weapons can help pressure enemies, cover passengers, and make the landing zone safer.

A safe product-page sentence:
The Valkyrie Liberator Edition brings useful landing-zone fire support, but its guns exist to support troop deployment rather than replace a dedicated gunship.

Players who want a true gunship should compare Redeemer, Hammerhead, Perseus, or other combat-first ships.

Crew and Passenger Experience

The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is not just a pilot ship. It becomes more convincing when several people have jobs.

A practical crew may include:

Role Purpose
Pilot Controls approach, landing, extraction timing, and survival.
Co-Pilot / Support Crew Helps with awareness, systems, and coordination.
Turret Gunners Cover the ship during landing, extraction, and retreat.
Door Gun Operators Help suppress targets near the landing zone.
Squad Leader Coordinates passengers before and after the drop.
Vehicle Driver Deploys ground support once the ship lands.
Ground Team Uses the jump seats, gun racks, and vehicle support to complete the objective.

A real Valkyrie Liberator mission should feel like a planned drop, not a normal cargo run. The pilot needs to choose where to land, when to expose the ship, and when to leave the area instead of hovering too long. Gunners are useful when they have angles, but they cannot fix a bad approach alone. The passengers and vehicle crew are the payload; if the group is not doing FPS, bunker, outpost, boarding, or org-event gameplay, the Valkyrie loses much of its value. In real use, the Valkyrie Liberator Edition rewards squad coordination, drop timing, and mission planning more than simple weapon-count comparisons.

A clean product-page sentence:
The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is most useful when the ship, crew, passengers, and vehicle all work together.

Solo Gameplay Expectations

The Valkyrie Liberator Edition can be flown by one player, but it is not a good solo-value ship compared with smaller, more flexible options. A solo pilot can move the ship, but the troop seats, gunners, door guns, and vehicle-supported mission flow are much less meaningful alone.

Solo ownership is possible, but the Valkyrie Liberator Edition is a team ship first.

Solo players who want practical daily utility may prefer the Cutlass Black, C1 Spirit, Taurus, 400i, 600i, or Starlancer MAX depending on their goals. Players who want the Valkyrie Liberator should want dropship gameplay, collector identity, or both.

Direct Vehicle Comparisons

Valkyrie Liberator Edition vs Standard Valkyrie

The standard Valkyrie and Valkyrie Liberator Edition share the same core dropship identity. The difference is collector presentation.

Ship Best For Main Difference
Valkyrie Liberator Edition Collectors and dropship fans who want the limited CitizenCon 2948 look Limited Liberator trim / commemorative identity.
Standard Valkyrie Players who want the Valkyrie dropship role without paying for edition rarity Same broad heavy dropship role, less collector-focused.
Choose the standard Valkyrie if you only care about the dropship role. Choose the Valkyrie Liberator Edition if you want the dropship plus limited-edition CitizenCon history.

Valkyrie Liberator Edition vs Cutlass Steel

The Cutlass Steel is smaller and rougher. The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is a larger Anvil heavy dropship.

Ship Best For Main Difference
Valkyrie Liberator Edition Larger troop and vehicle-supported dropship operations More dedicated Anvil dropship identity and stronger collector appeal.
Cutlass Steel Smaller Drake troop transport and landing-zone fire support Easier to understand, smaller, rougher, and more accessible.
Choose the Cutlass Steel for a smaller Drake troop transport. Choose the Valkyrie Liberator Edition for a larger Anvil dropship with limited-edition identity.

Valkyrie Liberator Edition vs Prowler

The Prowler is stealthier and alien. The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is louder, larger, and more conventional military.

Ship Best For Main Difference
Valkyrie Liberator Edition Visible troop deployment, vehicle support, and Anvil dropship presence Larger, more military, and more group-operation focused.
Esperia Prowler Stealthier alien troop insertion More specialized, alien, and stealth-focused.
Choose the Prowler for stealthy alien insertion. Choose the Valkyrie Liberator Edition for visible Anvil troop deployment and collector dropship ownership.

Valkyrie Liberator Edition vs Vanguard Hoplite

The Hoplite is a compact strike-team dropship. The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is a larger dedicated troop and vehicle dropship.

Ship Best For Main Difference
Valkyrie Liberator Edition Larger squad insertion and vehicle-supported ground operations More seats, larger dropship profile, and limited-edition value.
Vanguard Hoplite Compact Aegis strike-team insertion Smaller, more Vanguard-based, and more focused on a small assault team.
Choose the Hoplite for a compact strike-team dropship. Choose the Valkyrie Liberator Edition for larger Anvil dropship operations.

Valkyrie Liberator Edition vs Anvil Asgard & Anvil Liberator

The Asgard is a newer Anvil vehicle-focused transport. The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is a classic troop and vehicle dropship. This comparison is also important because the names are easy to confuse with the separate Anvil Liberator vehicle carrier.

Ship Best For Main Difference
Valkyrie Liberator Edition Troop deployment, FPS support, and limited-edition collector value A Valkyrie variant / commemorative edition focused on soldiers and jump seats.
Anvil Asgard Vehicle transport and modern Anvil support gameplay Better if the buyer mainly wants a newer vehicle-carrying Anvil platform.
Anvil Liberator Ship and vehicle transport carrier concept A completely different Anvil ship with carrier and vehicle-transport focus.
Choose the Valkyrie Liberator Edition for troop drops and CitizenCon collector identity. Choose the Asgard if your main priority is newer Anvil vehicle transport. The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is not the Anvil Liberator. It is a limited-edition Valkyrie dropship.

Cargo, Combat, and Utility Expectations

The Valkyrie Liberator Edition has cargo, weapons, and vehicle support, but it should not be sold as an all-purpose ship.

If the buyer wants:

  • cargo profit, choose a dedicated hauler.
  • pure combat, choose a dedicated gunship or fighter.
  • medical support, choose a medical ship.
  • solo convenience, choose a smaller daily ship.
  • troop insertion and collector dropship identity, choose the Valkyrie Liberator Edition.
The Valkyrie Liberator Edition has useful support systems, but its real value is troop deployment and limited-edition dropship ownership.

Explore Valkyrie Liberator Edition Upgrade Paths

If you prefer to build toward the Valkyrie Liberator Edition from another ship, you can view our Star Citizen CCU Upgrades and plan a more flexible Anvil dropship, troop-transport, or collector upgrade path over time.

For the Valkyrie Liberator Edition specifically, buyers should check the exact listing carefully. Some versions may be original concept, standalone, upgraded, or part of a larger package, and package contents may vary by seller or account history.

Valkyrie Liberator Edition vs Other Star Citizen Dropships

Ship Fleet Option Primary Core Role Compared with Valkyrie Liberator Edition
Standard Valkyrie Heavy Dropship Same broad dropship role; Liberator adds limited-edition collector identity.
Cutlass Steel Medium Troop Transport Smaller, rougher, and more Drake-flavored. Valkyrie is larger and more dedicated.
Esperia Prowler Alien Stealth Dropship More stealth-focused and alien. Valkyrie is louder and more conventional military.
Vanguard Hoplite Compact Strike-Team Dropship Smaller strike-team platform. Valkyrie supports larger troop operations.
Anvil Asgard Vehicle Transport / Support Better if vehicle transport is the main priority. Valkyrie is more troop-focused.
C2 Hercules Heavy Vehicle / Cargo Transport More practical for cargo and vehicles. Valkyrie is better for troop deployment.
M2 Hercules Military Heavy Transport Heavier military transport; Valkyrie is more dropship-focused.
Anvil Liberator Carrier / Vehicle Transport Completely different ship; not the same as Valkyrie Liberator Edition.

Valkyrie Liberator Edition vs Standard Valkyrie

The standard Valkyrie is better for players who only want the Anvil heavy dropship role without focusing on edition rarity. The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is better for players who want the same broad troop-deployment role with limited CitizenCon 2948 history and exclusive visual identity. Choose the standard Valkyrie for practical dropship ownership. Choose the Valkyrie Liberator Edition for collector dropship ownership.

Valkyrie Liberator Edition vs Cutlass Steel

The Cutlass Steel is better for players who want a smaller, rougher Drake troop transport with easier access and a simpler group-transport role. The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is better for players who want a larger Anvil dropship with vehicle support, more dedicated military presentation, and collector appeal. Choose the Cutlass Steel for smaller FPS group transport. Choose the Valkyrie Liberator Edition for larger dropship operations.

Valkyrie Liberator Edition vs Prowler

The Prowler is better for players who want alien stealth insertion and a more specialized troop-deployment style. The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is better for players who want a visible Anvil military dropship with vehicle support, landing-zone fire support, and CitizenCon collector identity. Choose the Prowler for stealth. Choose the Valkyrie Liberator Edition for conventional military dropship presence.

Valkyrie Liberator Edition vs Vanguard Hoplite

The Vanguard Hoplite is better for players who want a compact Aegis strike-team dropship with a smaller profile and Vanguard combat-platform identity. The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is better for players who want larger troop capacity, vehicle-supported deployment, and a more dedicated Anvil dropship experience. Choose the Hoplite for compact elite-team insertion. Choose the Valkyrie Liberator Edition for larger squad deployment.

Valkyrie Liberator Edition Strengths and Limitations

Strategic Strengths Operational Limitations
Limited CitizenCon 2948 Liberator identity. Collector value does not automatically mean better live performance.
Built around 20-person troop deployment. Much less useful if the buyer usually flies alone.
Vehicle bay and ramp support ground operations. Not a dedicated vehicle transport like a C2 or Asgard.
90 SCU cargo gives useful support storage. Not a cargo-profit ship.
Turrets and side weapons support landing-zone control. Not a dedicated gunship or warship.
Anvil military dropship style fits org events and FPS gameplay. Needs coordination to feel worthwhile.
Exclusive skin history gives it collector appeal. Buyers should check exact package contents and edition details carefully.

Who Should Buy the Valkyrie Liberator Edition?

The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is best for players who want a collectible Anvil dropship with real group-gameplay identity. It is especially suitable for org leaders, FPS squads, bunker crews, militia roleplay groups, dropship collectors, Anvil fans, and players who want the CitizenCon 2948 Liberator look.

It is also a good choice for players who already own practical ships. The Valkyrie Liberator Edition works best when it is part of a fleet: smaller ships for errands, cargo ships for profit, fighters for escort, and the Valkyrie for troop deployment and ground-combat events.

Players who want simple solo utility should choose a smaller ship. Players who want cargo profit should choose a hauler. Players who want stealth deployment should compare the Prowler. Players who want a smaller dropship should compare the Cutlass Steel or Hoplite. But for buyers who want Anvil heavy dropship gameplay plus limited-edition history, the Valkyrie Liberator Edition is one of the more direct collector dropships in Star Citizen.

Valkyrie Liberator Edition FAQ

Is the Valkyrie Liberator Edition worth buying in Star Citizen?

Yes, if you want a limited-edition Anvil heavy dropship with troop deployment, vehicle support, fire-support gameplay, and CitizenCon 2948 collector identity. It is not ideal if you want cargo profit, solo convenience, stealth, medical gameplay, or a dedicated combat ship.

Is the Valkyrie Liberator Edition Flight Ready?

Yes. Current community reference tracks the Valkyrie Liberator as Flight Ready. Because Star Citizen ship data can change, product pages should still use wording like Flight Ready / current gameplay reference.

What is the main role of the Valkyrie Liberator Edition?

Its main role is heavy dropship gameplay. The Valkyrie is designed to transport troops, support ground vehicles, and provide landing-zone fire support. The Liberator Edition adds limited CitizenCon 2948 commemorative identity.

How many troops can the Valkyrie carry?

Official launch material describes the Valkyrie as able to transport up to 20 personnel into and out of combat zones.

How many crew does the Valkyrie Liberator Edition need?

Current community reference lists the Valkyrie Liberator with 1–5 crew. It can be flown with fewer players, but its full value is better with gunners, support crew, passengers, and ground-team coordination.

Does the Valkyrie Liberator Edition have cargo?

Yes. Current community reference lists the Valkyrie Liberator with 90 SCU of cargo. This is useful support storage, but the ship should not be purchased as a dedicated cargo hauler.

Can the Valkyrie Liberator Edition carry vehicles?

Yes, the Valkyrie is designed around troop and vehicle-supported deployment. Official launch material mentions a vehicle bay and speed ramp for launching ground-based transport or reconnaissance vehicles. Exact vehicle fit and loading behavior should still be treated as current gameplay-reference information.

Is the Valkyrie Liberator Edition the same as the standard Valkyrie?

The core dropship role is the same broad Valkyrie role. The Liberator Edition is mainly valuable because of its limited commemorative trim / CitizenCon 2948 identity.

Is the Valkyrie Liberator Edition a performance upgrade over the standard Valkyrie?

It should not be marketed that way. The safest wording is that it is a limited-edition Valkyrie with a collectible Liberator look, not a separate mechanical upgrade.

Is the Valkyrie Liberator Edition the same as the Anvil Liberator?

No. The Valkyrie Liberator Edition is a limited-edition Valkyrie dropship. The Anvil Liberator is a separate ship focused on carrier and vehicle-transport gameplay.

Is the Valkyrie Liberator skin exclusive?

RSI’s paint-system communication specifically mentioned the Valkyrie Liberator from CitizenCon 2948 as an example of an older skin intended to remain limited and exclusive.

Is the Valkyrie Liberator Edition good for solo players?

It can be flown solo, but it is not a good solo-value ship. The Valkyrie’s value comes from troop seats, vehicle support, turret coverage, and group deployment, all of which are much more useful with other players.

Is the Valkyrie Liberator Edition good for cargo trading?

No. It has 90 SCU of support cargo, but it is not a cargo-profit ship. Dedicated haulers like the C2, Taurus, Caterpillar, Railen, Starlancer MAX, or Hull-series ships are better for cargo gameplay.

Is the Valkyrie Liberator Edition good for combat?

It has useful weapons for a dropship, but it is not a dedicated gunship or warship. Its weapons are best understood as support for troop deployment, landing-zone control, and extraction.

Is the Valkyrie Liberator Edition better than the Cutlass Steel?
