Frequently Asked Questions

How long does delivery usually take?

  • Star Citizen ship, ccu, paints, items orders are usually delivered within 20–30 minutes. In rare cases, delivery may take up to 12 hours due to order volume, RSI gifting limits, account status, or manual verification requirements.
  • In most cases, we do not allow ship deliveries to exceed 12 hours unless there is an exceptional issue such as RSI system limitations, account restrictions, or required customer verification.

Is my ship order protected?

  • Yes. Security and reliability are our top priorities. All ships sold by LTI Hangar come from our own inventory, with no external sellers or unknown third-party suppliers involved.
  • Each ship order is handled with clear delivery records, allowing the delivery process to be reviewed and traced if support is ever needed. We also provide 6-month after-sale protection for eligible delivery-related issues.
  • This level of own-stock control, traceable delivery, and after-sale protection is not commonly offered by many third-party marketplaces, which is why many customers choose LTI Hangar for safer Star Citizen ship purchases.

What is the 6-month after-sale protection? Why Other Marketplaces Cannot Offer This?

  • In the extremely rare event that an issue occurs with an item during delivery or within up to 6 months after delivery has been completed, we will conduct an investigation. If it is determined that the issue was caused by our fault, we will provide either a replacement or a refund.
  • To help us review the case accurately, you may be required to assist us by providing relevant evidence, such as RSI Hangar screenshots, order details, and RSI Hangar Log records.
  • The RSI Hangar Log can help track the status and history of each ship, including whether the item was claimed, exchanged, melted, transferred, or otherwise changed after delivery. We will review the evidence you provide to determine the cause of the issue.
  • This level of protection is not commonly offered by many third-party marketplaces because they often rely on external sellers or mixed inventory sources. At LTI Hangar, all ships come from our own inventory, and each order has clear delivery records, allowing us to provide safer and more reliable support.

Can I request a refund after claiming the ship, ccu, paints, items?

  • Once the RSI gift has been claimed, the ship, ccu, paints, items becomes bound to the receiving RSI account. Due to the limitations of the Star Citizen gifting system, a claimed ship normally cannot be gifted again, returned, reversed, or re-delivered. For this reason, claimed items are normally not eligible for cancellation or refund.
  • A correction, replacement, or refund may only be provided if we confirm that the issue was caused by our side, such as a wrong item being sent, an order delivery error, or another verified delivery issue caused by us.
  • Before claiming the RSI gift, please make sure you are logged into the correct RSI account. Once the gift is claimed to the wrong account, it normally cannot be moved to another account.

What happens if the wrong ship, ccu, paints, items is delivered?

If we confirm that the wrong item was delivered due to our error, we will review the case and provide a correction, replacement, or refund where applicable. Please contact us with your order number, checkout email, and clear screenshots of your RSI Hangar.

Why are the names of the Star Citizen ships I received different?

Standalone CCU'ed is a complete ship or vehicle. It is not an upgrade! CCU'ed simply means that it was created by upgrading a smaller ship or vehicle to the one you are buying. Please also note that in the gift email, only the ship that was used as the base for upgrading will be named. Please don't worry, the actual ship you will see in your hangar will be the one you've ordered.

For example, this is how a CCU'ed Polaris looks like in hangar on RSI website.

Mirai Guardian QI Standalone Ship Gameplay Guide

The Mirai Guardian QI is a single-seat heavy interdiction fighter built for Star Citizen players who want heavy firepower, long-range fighter presence, and the ability to stop targets from escaping. Designed by Mirai, the Guardian QI is not a light dogfighter, cargo ship, or casual utility vessel. It is a focused combat ship made for hunting, intercepting, and pressuring larger or more valuable targets.

Unlike the standard Guardian, which focuses mainly on heavy fighter firepower, the Guardian QI adds a quantum dampener to its combat package. This gives it a more tactical role: it can help keep enemy ships from escaping through quantum travel while still bringing the Guardian platform’s heavy weapon identity. RSI’s official store page lists the Guardian QI as Flight Ready, single-operator, and a Heavy Fighter from Mirai.

Build Your Mirai Interdiction Fleet with the Guardian QI

The Guardian QI is one of the more useful Mirai choices for players who want more than raw damage. If you are looking to acquire this Mirai interdiction fighter, you can explore our available options in the Star Citizen Ships and Vehicles Collection.

Guardian QI Key Specifications

Engineered for tactical locks and high-damage output, the Guardian QI operates as an exceptional solitary hunt-and-contain chassis.

Specification Mirai Guardian QI Gameplay Meaning
Manufacturer Mirai A high-performance manufacturer focused on advanced fighter design and modern combat style.
Role Heavy Fighter / Interdiction Fighter Built to fight hard while helping prevent targets from escaping.
Status Flight Ready RSI lists the Guardian QI as Flight Ready, while live balance and behavior may still change through future updates.
Crew 1 Fully operated by a single pilot.
Size Small ship class Easier to deploy than large multi-crew combat ships.
Weapons Identity Size 5 heavy weapon reference Gives the Guardian QI heavy fighter pressure, but exact weapons should be treated as gameplay-reference information.
Missile Support Missile rack reference Adds extra pressure before or during engagement; missile behavior and loadouts may change with balance updates.
Special Utility Quantum dampener Helps stop nearby targets from using quantum escape.
Core Gameplay Interception, bounty support, piracy support, heavy fighter combat Best used to trap and pressure valuable targets.

Note: Star Citizen ship specifications may change during future balance updates. Exact weapons, components, dampener behavior, missiles, interior details, and performance should be treated as gameplay-reference information rather than permanent final values.

What Makes the Guardian QI Valuable?

The Guardian QI is valuable because it combines heavy fighter damage with interdiction utility. Many fighters can chase, shoot, or pressure targets. The Guardian QI adds a more strategic layer: it can help keep a target in the fight instead of letting that target simply quantum away.

This makes the ship especially useful for bounty hunters, pirate crews, security patrols, and small combat groups. A normal fighter may win a duel, but the Guardian QI is better when the mission depends on stopping someone from escaping.

Its other key advantage is that it remains a single-seat ship. The RSI Q&A notes that, unlike the Scorpius Antares, where a co-pilot is required to use the quantum dampener, the Guardian QI allows the pilot to control everything, including the dampener. That makes the Guardian QI easier to use for solo combat players who still want interdiction gameplay.

Interdiction Gameplay Role

The Guardian QI’s main role is fighter-based interdiction. It is built for situations where the target matters and escape control is important.

Gameplay Use Why the Guardian QI Fits
Bounty hunting Helps stop targets from escaping while applying heavy damage.
Piracy support Can hold valuable ships in place long enough for a group to act.
Security patrols Useful for intercepting suspicious ships near trade routes or events.
Escort operations Can help punish attackers that try to disengage.
Small-group PvP Adds control utility without requiring a second crew member.
Anti-large fighter pressure Heavy fighter weapons give it more punch than many smaller fighters.

The Guardian QI should not be treated like a pure racing-style fighter. Its value comes from control, pressure, and target denial, not just agility.

Quantum Dampener Utility

The Guardian QI’s most important feature is its quantum dampener. This is what separates it from the standard Guardian.

The dampener gives the ship a clear tactical identity: once the Guardian QI gets close enough to a target, it can help stop that target from escaping through quantum travel. This is especially useful against ships that might otherwise run away before the fight is finished.

The Guardian QI is the version you choose when catching the target matters as much as damaging it.

This makes it easy for customers to understand the difference between the Guardian and the Guardian QI.

Heavy Fighter Firepower

The Guardian platform is built around heavy forward damage. RSI’s Guardian launch material describes the Guardian line as packing Size 5 weapons and missile support, with the Guardian and Guardian QI becoming available to fly in the Alpha 4.0 Preview environment.

This gives the Guardian QI a different feel from lighter fighters. It is not just trying to out-turn everything. It wants to line up heavy shots, punish exposed targets, and make each firing window matter.

That makes it useful against tougher ships, medium fighters, or targets that cannot easily avoid the Guardian’s firing line. Against very agile light fighters, the pilot still needs good aim and positioning, because heavy weapons are most effective when shots actually connect.

Solo Fighter Experience

One of the clearer selling points of the Guardian QI is that it gives solo players a tactical combat role. You do not need a turret gunner, co-pilot, or support operator to use its main identity.

Pilot Task Gameplay Value
Fly and position the ship Keep pressure on the target.
Fire heavy weapons Apply direct damage.
Use the quantum dampener Prevent escape during key moments.
Launch missiles Add burst pressure or force defensive reactions.
Choose engagement timing Decide when to commit or disengage.

A practical Guardian QI fight usually depends on timing. The pilot should not turn on the dampener randomly and hope the target stays. A good run starts with choosing a target that is worth trapping, closing the distance safely, forcing the target to react, and using the dampener when the enemy is likely to escape. The Guardian QI feels strongest when the pilot treats it as a catch-and-pressure fighter: hold the target, land heavy shots, and keep enough control to disengage if the fight turns bad.

This makes the Guardian QI especially attractive for players who want more depth than a normal fighter but do not want the crew requirements of ships like the Scorpius Antares, Hurricane, Redeemer, or Hammerhead.

Interior and Daily Use Notes

The Guardian QI is still a fighter first, but it may feel more practical for longer solo sessions than many cockpit-only fighters. For product-page wording, interior features should be described carefully and treated as secondary comfort value rather than the main selling point.

The Guardian QI is still a combat ship first, but its pilot-focused interior and personal storage make it more comfortable for solo use than many smaller fighters.

It should not be marketed as a cargo ship, exploration ship, or full living vessel. Its real value remains combat, interception, and quantum escape control.

Guardian QI vs Other Star Citizen Ships

Contrasting the Guardian QI with equivalent interdiction frames and raw heavy superiority variants highlights its specialized focus.

Ship Fleet Option Primary Core Role Compared with Guardian QI
Guardian Heavy Fighter The standard Guardian is better for players who want the cleaner heavy fighter version. The Guardian QI adds interdiction utility.
Guardian MX Heavy Firepower Variant The MX focuses more on upgraded combat damage. The QI is better when quantum control matters.
Scorpius Antares Interdiction Heavy Fighter The Antares has interdiction gameplay but needs two-player coordination. The Guardian QI is easier for solo interdiction.
RSI Mantis Quantum Snare / Interdiction The Mantis is more specialized around interdiction. The Guardian QI is stronger as a fighter.
Vanguard Sentinel Heavy Fighter / E-War The Sentinel is larger and more military. The Guardian QI is more compact, modern, and solo-focused.
Ares Ion Heavy Anti-Large Fighter The Ion is more focused on large-target gun pressure. The Guardian QI is more flexible because it adds interdiction.
F8C Lightning Heavy Superiority Fighter The F8C is stronger as a pure elite combat fighter. The Guardian QI offers a more tactical catch-and-kill role.

Guardian QI vs Guardian

The standard Guardian is better for players who want the cleaner heavy fighter version without interdiction utility. The Guardian QI is better when stopping a target from escaping matters as much as dealing damage. If you want a straightforward Mirai heavy fighter, choose the standard Guardian. If you want a catch-and-pressure fighter for bounty, piracy, or security work, the Guardian QI has the clearer role.

Guardian QI vs Scorpius Antares

The Scorpius Antares offers interdiction-style gameplay in a two-seat heavy fighter setup, which can be useful for coordinated crews. The Guardian QI is easier for solo players because the pilot controls the ship and interdiction utility without needing a second operator. If you have a reliable co-pilot, the Antares can make sense. If you want solo interdiction in a heavy fighter, the Guardian QI is easier to use.

Guardian QI vs RSI Mantis

The RSI Mantis is more specialized around interdiction and quantum snare gameplay. The Guardian QI is less specialized as a snare platform, but much stronger as a heavy fighter. If your only goal is dedicated interdiction control, the Mantis has the cleaner role. If you want a ship that can fight hard while also preventing escape, the Guardian QI is more flexible.

Guardian QI Strengths and Limitations

Strategic Strengths Operational Limitations
Quantum dampener gives the QI real target-control value. More specialized than the standard Guardian.
Single-seat operation makes interdiction easier for solo pilots. Not as team-oriented as multi-crew interdiction ships.
Heavy weapon identity gives it strong fighter pressure. Heavy weapons require good aim and positioning.
More practical interior than many small fighters. Not a cargo, exploration, or support ship.
Useful for bounty hunting, piracy support, and security patrols. Full value depends on interdiction being useful in the mission.
Clear Mirai style and modern fighter identity. Not as agile as lighter dogfighters.

Who Should Buy the Guardian QI?

The Guardian QI is best for players who want a solo-friendly heavy fighter with interdiction utility. It is especially suitable for bounty hunters, pirate players, security patrol pilots, PvP-focused players, and anyone who wants to stop targets from escaping instead of only chasing them.

It is also a good choice for players who like the Guardian platform but want a more tactical version. The standard Guardian is cleaner as a heavy fighter. The Guardian MX is more aggressive for damage. The Guardian QI is the better choice when the mission is about catching, holding, and finishing the target.

Players who only want pure dogfighting may prefer smaller fighters. Players who want maximum team interdiction may prefer a dedicated multi-crew setup. But for solo pilots who want heavy firepower plus escape control, the Guardian QI is one of the more interesting fighters in Star Citizen.

Guardian QI FAQ

Is the Guardian QI worth buying in Star Citizen?

The Guardian QI is worth buying if you want a single-seat heavy fighter with heavy firepower and quantum dampener utility. It is especially useful for bounty hunting, piracy support, target control, and small-group PvP. It is not the best choice for cargo, exploration, or pure light-fighter dogfighting.

Is the Guardian QI Flight Ready?

Yes. RSI’s store page lists the Guardian QI as Flight Ready.

What is the main role of the Guardian QI?

The Guardian QI’s main role is heavy fighter interdiction. It is designed to fight while also stopping targets from escaping through quantum travel.

Can the Guardian QI be used solo?

Yes. The Guardian QI is a single-seat ship, and the pilot controls the ship’s main systems, including the quantum dampener. This makes it much easier to use solo than interdiction ships that require a second crew member.

What makes the Guardian QI different from the standard Guardian?

The Guardian QI adds interdiction utility through a quantum dampener. The standard Guardian is more straightforward as a heavy fighter, while the QI is better when you need to trap or hold a target.

Should I choose the Guardian QI or standard Guardian?

Choose the standard Guardian if you want a cleaner heavy fighter focused on damage, handling, and straightforward combat. Choose the Guardian QI if you want the Guardian platform plus quantum dampener utility for bounty hunting, piracy support, security patrols, and target control. The standard Guardian is the better pure heavy fighter, while the Guardian QI is the better interdiction version.

Is the Guardian QI better than the Guardian MX?

The Guardian QI and Guardian MX serve different needs. The QI is better for interdiction and target control. The MX is better for players who want a more damage-focused Guardian variant. Choose the QI if stopping escape matters. Choose the MX if raw combat output matters more.

Does the Guardian QI have a quantum snare?

The safest wording is that the Guardian QI has a quantum dampener, not a full snare-style interdiction identity like the RSI Mantis. The QI is best understood as a close-range escape-prevention fighter rather than a dedicated snare platform.

Is the Guardian QI good for bounty hunting?

Yes. The Guardian QI is well suited for bounty hunting because it combines heavy damage with quantum escape control. This makes it easier to keep a target engaged long enough to finish the fight.

Is the Guardian QI good for piracy?

Yes, the Guardian QI can be useful for piracy support because its quantum dampener can help stop a target from escaping. However, piracy usually works best with a group, since you may still need cargo handling, disabling tools, scanning, and support ships.

Is the Guardian QI good for PvE?

Yes, the Guardian QI can work well in PvE combat where heavy firepower is useful. Its interdiction tool may not matter in every PvE mission, but the ship still has useful fighter value.

Is the Guardian QI good for PvP?

Yes, but it rewards good positioning. The Guardian QI is not a light dogfighter, so it should not be flown like a Gladius or Arrow. Its strength is pressure, heavy hits, and preventing escape during the right moment.

Does the Guardian QI have cargo?

The Guardian QI should not be treated as a cargo ship. It may have small personal storage and interior utility, but it is a combat fighter first.

Does the Guardian QI have good long-term value?

Yes, the Guardian QI has useful long-term value for players who like interdiction gameplay. Its role is clear: catch targets, stop quantum escape, and apply heavy fighter pressure. As bounty hunting, piracy, security patrols, and player-driven conflict become more important, the Guardian QI should remain a useful tactical fighter.
